Brilliant Brillante

Border Explorer
gave me this Brillante Weblog award, and I just want to thank her so much for it. BE is brillante--why just look at this 419 Scam she uncovered:

Dear American:
I need to ask you to support an urgent secret business relationship with a transfer of funds of great magnitude.

I am Ministry of the Treasury of the Republic of America. My country has had crisis that has caused the need for large transfer of funds of 800 billion dollars US. If you would assist me in this transfer, it would be most profitable to you.
I am working with Mr. Phil Gram, lobbyist for UBS, who will be my replacement as Ministry of the Treasury in January. As a Senator, you may know him as the leader of the American banking deregulation movement in the 1990s. This transactin is 100% safe.
This is a matter of great urgency. We need a blank check. We need the funds as quickly as possible. We cannot directly transfer these funds in the names of our close friends because we are constantly under surveillance. My family lawyer advised me that I should look for a reliable and trustworthy person who will act as a next of kin so the funds can be transferred.
Please reply with all of your bank account, IRA and college fund account numbers and those of your children and grandchildren to wallstreetbailout@treasury.gov so that we may transfer your commission for this transaction. After I receive that information, I will respond with detailed information about safeguards that will be used to protect the funds.

Yours Faithfully,
Minister of Treasury Paulson

Anyway, this is a great award to get because there AREN'T ANY RULES! It's just about passing on the love. So I'm going to pass it on to 5 more bloggers who are brilliant. Brilliant as a blazing sun. Can you feel the love? Oh yes, the love, it burns... sorta like an STD.

Okay, anyway. Here's my list of brilliant ones:
1. Marde McSeavey of SeevsPlace
He's fighting the good fight in the Great State of Maine.
2. Ruth Hull Chatlien of Ruth's Visions and Revisions
She knits, she takes photos, she writes. It's all good.
3. Jan of Yearning for God
She is simply one of the most beautiful souls I know.
4. Tim of Straight-Friendly
Because he really is brilliant.
5. FranSheis of FranIam
Because Fran needs a little more bling for her blog, don't ya think?

If you don't want it, that's ok. If you already got one, pass it on to someone who doesn't. Be brilliant my dears, then go get your penicillin.

Missy, your brilliance is showing in your award selections. Wow, what an honor roll of bloggy goodness. I can't wait to meet Tim, heading there right now.

So happy to have found you! Keep on blogging.
So big fish.

An award without rules? Very communisty, comrades!

Oh goodie, all but one is already on my blogroll. I laughed at the letter. I get those all the time from Africa, where apparently, everyone thinks they should send their millions to me for safe keeping. LOL. This bailout thing sounds just like it, now that you mention it. Too funny.

Missy, you're way too kind! With all my heart, I want to get all gracious and "aw-shucks" about this... and I truly am deeply honored and proud... But coming as this does at the end of a very long week of quick turnarounds on projects, political nabobs run amok, and cranking out posts that I wished I had more time to develop, it's just too good to refuse! Coming home to find this couldn't be a lovelier way to kick off the week-end.

Thanks for so much. It's the tastiest icing imaginable on a cake I truly love working on--even when it comes out half-baked!

Now it's time to start compiling my awards...

Mwa-mwa,
Tim

Oh dear! I am so bad with awards. I better get on this one though.

Missy- say the word and my blog will be healed.

Then I can put my award up!

Congratulations on your award. It's well deserved. And thanks for thinking of me. I'll have to think who to pass it on to.

Missy, you are indeed brilliant, and I'd say both intellectually and spiritually. So, you deserve the award. Me? Thanks for listing me number 1 among the brilliant, but seriously, I'm not sure I belong in that company. But anyway, Hey, thanks! I appreciate it! BUT, I want to wait a few days before responding on my blog and posting the award. I'm hoping my post on Lee Goldsberry will get a little attention from a few quarters before it disappears behind a bunch of new posts with less and less likelihood of ever being seen again. Cheers! And many thanks again!

Randal, are you calling me a pinko? Don't make me go all American jingo on yer arse.

Sherry, you are good freind. You keep money save for me?

Tim, and a big mwa-mwa to you, too. I know you can think of five good ones to pass this on to. You attract good people.

Arise, Fran! Ahnd be hee-aled! Your faith has saved you! Pick up your blog and walk!

And tell no one of this.

Ruth, thank you and you're welcome! Thinking of other bloggers to pass it on to is half the fun. The other half is a tricked out, shiny new button.

Seev--no pressure. I won't even tell you how many days it took me to finally pass this on! Peace!
